Laminate floors have come a long way in the last few years.  They are as water resistant as most luxury vinyl products on the market.  They combine a beautiful, realistic impression of natural   hardwood with an extremely durable finish. While not as popular as luxury vinyl flooring (mainly because their poor performance in the past has given then a bad reputation), today's laminate floors are absolutely a viable option for busy families.
